Description
Available at Dunlaps’ since 1918, the White Rock is fast growing and very disease resistant. They are docile but can be semi-aggressive broody mothers, meaning they are very protective of their eggs. They start laying as early as 20 weeks of age. They are cold hardy and heat tolerant, so they will need shade coverage in the hotter months of the year. Unlike most chicken breeds the White Rock adapts best to the cold naturally over time without a heat source due to their dense feathers. Chicks hatch out a smoky gray with yellow and feather out completely white while maturing.
