Description
The Buff Orpington is one of our most popular beginner friendly, family friendly breeds. They are active and do well in confinement or free range. However, it is important to note that due to their temperament and size are not good at evading predators. They are cold hardy, but prone to overheating in the hot months without shade coverage. Known to be one of the most docile breeds in existence they are also very quiet. The Buff is also one of the best brooders and make excellent mother hens. Chicks are a light pastel orange/yellow color.
