The deep base on this waterer is best suited for adult birds. This design has a bottom fill hole with a rubber stopper and o-ring to prevent leaks. The stand fits securely in the base of the waterer to raise the waterer off of the ground and help keep dirt and debris out of the water. Base stand sold separately.
