Description
The Light Brahma is one of our most popular beginner, family friendly breeds. Due to their size, they can be used as a dual-purpose bird. They were largely used as a commercial meat bird before the introduction of the Cornish Cross. The Brahma is gentle and cold hardy but needs shade cover in the warmer months of the year. They can be broody and somewhat stubborn to break habit. This feathered legged, pea combed bird has excellent frostbite resistance. Chicks are solid yellow with feathered legs. We also offer the bantam size.
