Description
The Rouen (ruin) named after a town in France of the same name, is a large bird that resembles the wild Mallard in coloring. They are all temperature weather hardy and great foragers. Their color distinction makes them easy to sex when they mature. The Rouen is a calm, friendly bird and can be used for dual-purpose; having very flavorful meat, leaner than that of the Pekin and decent egg production. Our Rouen are the commercial line not the exhibition and cannot fly. All our ducks make great pets except the Mallard.
