Description
The Silver Laced Wyandotte was originally called the “American Sebright” and is the color all other Wyandotte are derived from. They are a heavier breed that can be broody and have an assertive personality. As with most chickens, they are good foragers and handle most types of weather well. Due to having rose combs they are very good at avoiding frostbite in the winter. The Wyandotte is a popular backyard and show bird. Chicks are black and gray with yellow in the face and underbelly. They also have two light gray stripes down their back.
