VitaMetz is a comprehensive blend of vitamins, electrolytes, trace minerals, and beneficial bacteria specially formulated for ducks and other waterfowl. It’s the ultimate nutritional boost in a convenient, easy-to-administer package, designed to support waterfowl of all ages during times of stress or during periods of reduced feed consumption.
This also makes a great niacin supplement. VitaMetz contains the exact amount of Niacin required for healthy leg development to prevent or treat niacin deficiency.
VitaMetz comes in a resealable 4 oz package with a handy 1 tsp scoop. Mix one scoop per gallon of drinking water. Each 4 oz. pack contains enough product to make 20 gallons. it is a good idea to administer immediately after your birds arrive for a quick boost. We recommend use for the first 5 days after hatch, then 3-4 days per month for continued support, also during periods of stress or after you have administered antibiotics to your birds.
VitaMetz Contains:
VITAMINS – Includes a complete array of thirteen vitamins including higher levels of stress-fighting and antioxidant vitamins A, D, E, K, and C to help resist diseases, improve reproductive performance, and strengthen bones and eggshells. It also has the necessary B vitamins needed for growth, reproduction and fighting stress.
NIACIN – Waterfowl require more niacin (vitamin B-3) than other poultry for healthy leg development. If you are mixing your own feed or observe any limping or mobility issues you should supplement immediately and continue through 10 weeks of age.
ELECTROLYTES – Contains balanced levels of sodium and potassium to address nutritional needs and combat exposure to heat.
TRACE MINERALS – Protected (cleated) iron, zinc, copper, manganese, iodine, and cobalt are some of the main trace minerals included in VitaMetz. These trace minerals are important for optimal growth and tissue repair.
BENEFICIAL BACTERIA – Contains widely used and effective probiotics to help maintain gut microflora balance and competitively exclude pathogenic bacteria. It includes a mix of Lactobacillus acidophilus, L. casei, L. reuteri, Bifidobacterium bifidum, B. thermophilum, B. animalis, B. infantis, Enterococcus faecium, Bacillus subtilis, and B. amyloliquefaciens bacteria.
