Description
White Leghorns provide the primary source of eggs in today’s white egg market. We use the Tetra White strain for our breeding stock. This breed is known for its exceptional feed conversion. The Leghorn is adaptive, disease resistant, and tolerates heat well. They are very active, flighty, and noisy. Their anxiousness allows them to avoid predators, and they are a non-setting bird. This breed thrives free range but performs poorly in cold environments due to their size. We do not recommend Leghorns for families with small children. Chicks are solid white with yellow legs.
